‍Zero-emissions electric storefront brings frictionless, scan-to-buy chilled smart lockers to Downtown Los Angeles' premier mobility conference

BIB Technologies, a developer of patented modular electric vehicle storefronts, and Elevado Drinks, creators of premium hemp-infused craft beverages, officially unveiled their next-generation mobile retail experience at the Curbivore 2025 Conference in Downtown Los Angeles’ Arts District. The joint activation highlighted the future of automated curbside retail by merging clean-energy EV mobility with seamless, grab-and-go consumer purchasing.  

At the center of the demonstration was an all-electric mobile pop-up vehicle equipped with BIB Technologies’ patented AUTOMATO refrigerated smart locker system, wrapped in custom graphics by UpNext Auto Designs. Conference attendees experienced a frictionless buying process directly from the vehicle’s curb-facing locker array:  

• Direct QR Code Interaction: Each individual locker door is fitted with a unique QR code under the "Scan Locker to Buy" interface, eliminating the need for app downloads or dedicated staffing.  
• Instant Digital Checkout: Attendees scan the code using a smartphone camera, bringing up a streamlined mobile checkout linked to digital payment rails and real-time inventory management.  
• Smart Latch Dispensing: Upon transaction approval, the corresponding refrigerated compartment electronically unlatches to dispense a chilled can of Elevado, followed by a simple "push to close" prompt to re-lock the door.  
• Sustainable Thermal Management: The vehicle utilizes advanced thermal management and zero-emissions electric architecture to maintain cold-chain storage without relying on noisy, idling combustion engines.  
• Intelligent Edge Telemetry: Integrated spatial intelligence and foot-traffic analytics track consumer engagement and conversion rates in real time through BIB’s SaaS platform.
