LOS ANGELES, CA

‍BIB Technologies (Business-in-a-Box), a pioneer in patented modular electric vehicle storefronts, deployed its flagship all-electric mobile platform, FRO, to cater Secret Movie Club’s sold-out marathon screening of The Lord of the Rings trilogy at the historic Los Angeles Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. Positioned directly beneath the Broadway landmark’s 1931 marquee, the compact EV micro-storefront delivered continuous service throughout the nine-hour, 35mm cinematic showcase, demonstrating the real-world utility of clean, agile mobile commerce in high-density cultural hubs.

The event welcomed hundreds of film enthusiasts for back-to-back 35mm screenings of Peter Jackson's trilogy. Rather than depending on conventional food trucks that require noisy internal combustion generators, complex permitting, or fixed retail buildouts, FRO rolled straight to the venue's entrance, plugged in, and delivered artisan, plant-based, dairy-free soft serve with zero tailpipe emissions and zero engine noise.

Key Operational Milestones

Zero-Emission, Quiet Activation: Eliminated exhaust fumes and generator noise, preserving the architectural ambiance and indoor-outdoor threshold of a historic 1931 movie palace.

Nine-Hour Continuous Duty Cycle: Sustained continuous cold-storage and rapid soft-serve dispensing over a full nine-hour marathon without thermal disruption or utility strain.

Compact Footprint Micromobility: Avoided street obstruction by utilizing a right-sized electric vehicle platform engineered specifically for curbs, walkways, and pedestrian plazas.

Plug-and-Play Venue Integration: Operated seamlessly via standard local power hookups, bypassing the logistics and expense of auxiliary power infrastructure.

"Events like this showcase the exact purpose behind our modular electric storefronts," said Deloss Pickett, CEO BIB Technologies. "Our goal is to give brands and venues the ability to launch targeted, high-impact retail experiences anywhere, anytime, without capital-intensive buildouts or toxic environmental impact. FRO demonstrated how sustainable micro-commerce can integrate into sensitive historic environments, enhance guest hospitality, and leave zero footprint behind."

For seven years, FRO has served as BIB Technologies’ primary commercial testbed, validating cold-chain performance, onboard energy consumption, and high-volume customer throughput across California's premier public institutions, museums, and entertainment venues. The Downtown Los Angeles screening highlighted how purpose-built electric micro-storefronts can unlock hospitality revenue for historic venues where traditional food service operations are physically or logistically impossible.

"Hosting a full day of Middle-earth on 35mm inside a grand 1931 movie palace is an unforgettable community experience," said Nanavati Low "Having FRO parked right under our marquee added an incredible treat for our guests without the diesel hum or fumes that typically spoil the atmosphere of a historic streetscape."
